Sharon Farber graduated from the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy in April, 1989, having studied Swedish massage, sports massage, Trigger Point therapy, Shiatsu and Jin Shin Do. She has taken additional classes including Polarity, Cranial Sacral, Pregnancy massage, Reflexology and Myo Fascial Release. Sharon completed a three year program at the Institute of Healing Arts and Sciences in 2001, and is a Reiki Master and Reconnective Healing Practitioner. She is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association.
Sharon has been practicing massage and healing for 24 years. She specializes in deep tissue massage, deep relaxation, and combining different modalities to best meet the needs of her clients. Sharon does massage and healing at the Avon Massage Therapy Center and out of her home office in Barkhamsted. The two locations are quite different. Sharon Farber has a BA in Sociology. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Cum Laude from the University of Massachusetts in 1983. She was a social worker before becoming a massage therapist.
